Cat 6 patch cable for wired networks

This Belkin A3L980-06-ORG-S is a Category 6 UTP patch cable terminated with RJ45 male connectors on both ends. It provides a direct wired link for routers, switches, PCs and other network devices. The orange jacket helps identify the run in a busy rack or desk setup.

Unshielded construction with snagless boots

The cable uses unshielded twisted pairs and carries no external shielding, keeping it light at 2.40 oz and easy to route through tight spaces. Snagless moulded boots protect the connector tabs from catching during insertion or removal. No power draw or active cooling is involved.

Fixed 6 ft length determines reach

At exactly 6 ft the cable suits short runs between adjacent equipment but cannot span longer distances without a coupler or a longer cable. Buyers who need more reach or a different colour must choose another part.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Belkin A3L980-06-ORG-S Cat 6 cable without damaging the snagless RJ45 connectors?

Align the RJ45 male plug with the port tab facing down, push straight in until the snagless boot clicks securely, and avoid angling the connector which can bend the internal pins.

Will the Belkin A3L980-06-ORG-S cable require replacement due to connector wear or cable fatigue over time?

The snagless boots protect the locking tabs from breaking during repeated insertion cycles, and the 2.40 oz UTP construction resists typical bending stress at the strain relief.

What performance limit appears first when running sustained gigabit traffic through this 6 ft Cat 6 patch cable?

As an unshielded twisted pair cable, the primary limit under sustained high-throughput loads is alien crosstalk from adjacent cables rather than the 6 ft length attenuation.
