Category 6 patch cable

This six-foot Category 6 patch cable carries a purple jacket for easy identification in crowded racks or desk runs. Molded strain relief and snagless boots protect the latch during repeated inserts and removals. The unshielded twisted-pair construction meets the Category 6 performance specification for typical home and office wiring. It is sold new and ready for immediate installation.

Home and small-business installers

The cable suits anyone wiring workstations, printers, access points or switches where a short purple run helps colour-code the network. Builders who need shielded cable for high-EMI environments, plenum-rated jackets for ceiling spaces, or runs longer than the supplied length should look at other options. It is not intended for outdoor burial or industrial-grade flexing applications.

Category 6 rating

The Category 6 rating is the single specification that decides whether this cable matches the required link speed and bandwidth plan. Verify that the infrastructure design calls for unshielded Category 6 before purchasing.
