CAT6 bulk cable with solid 24AWG conductors, pair separator and plenum rating for horizontal runs
This Belkin A7L704500GRNP is a plenum-rated CAT6 solid bulk cable built for permanent horizontal runs. It contains eight solid 24AWG conductors with a pair separator to maintain performance. The cable exceeds TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1 and ISO/IEC 11801 requirements for structured wiring. It supports Gigabit Ethernet and 1.2Gbps ATM applications.
Replacing CAT5e or unrated cable with this solid-core CAT6 enables certified Gigabit speeds and 1.2Gbps ATM bandwidth. The plenum jacket meets fire-safety codes for air-handling spaces where PVC is prohibited. The jump is worth it when building new structured cabling or pulling through plenum ceilings.
This suits installers pulling horizontal runs in commercial plenum spaces who need solid conductors for punch-down termination. It is not for buyers who need stranded patch cables for flexible connections. It is not for outdoor or direct-burial installations.

It uses eight solid 24 AWG conductors, arranged in four twisted pairs with a separator.
Stripping back too much jacket and untwisting the pairs beyond the connector body degrades performance; keep twists as close to the contact as possible.
Inspect the jacket periodically for abrasion or compression damage where it passes through firestop sleeves or cable trays.
