USB-C Capture for Mobile and Handheld Devices

The BENFEI 000408grey captures video from USB-C sources such as iPhone 15, iPhone 16, Galaxy S23, Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck. It records the signal to a laptop or desktop equipped with USB-A or USB-C ports. Streamers and content creators can connect consoles, tablets or phones directly for recording and live streaming.

Sustained Capture at 1080P 60FPS

The device accepts input resolutions up to 4K at 30Hz and outputs a consistent 1080P at 60Hz stream for recording. An integrated IC chip maintains high-speed signal transfer during extended sessions, preventing blue-screen errors, picture tearing and flicker. Latency remains low throughout long broadcasts or gameplay recordings.

Maximum Input 4K 30Hz with 1080P 60Hz Output

The single specification that determines suitability is the resolution ceiling: 4K at 30Hz in, 1080P at 60Hz out. Buyers needing 4K at 60Hz capture or higher frame-rate passthrough should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 000408grey get hot or draw much power during long 1080P 60FPS streams?

The card is powered entirely from the host USB port and runs cool during extended capture sessions.

Which cables or adapters must I already own to connect my iPhone 15 or Switch to this capture card?

You need a USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to USB-A cable that matches your source device and the computer port you will use.

Will the 000408grey work alongside my older 1080P monitor and PS4 without downscaling issues?

Yes — the card accepts up to 4K 30Hz input and outputs 1080P 60Hz, so a PS4 at 1080P passes through cleanly to an older display.
