Safety floor marking tape

Bertech Safety Warning Tape is a red PVC roll with solvent rubber adhesive designed for floor and aisle marking in manufacturing or warehouse environments. The tape measures 2 inches wide by 36 yards long with a thickness of 5 mil and provides 14 oz./in. adhesion.

Industrial floor marking users

This tape suits facilities needing durable colour-coded hazard identification on floors and aisles where aggressive rubber-based adhesion is required. It is not for buyers who need reflective properties or tape certified for outdoor traffic exposure.

5 mil PVC with 14 oz./in. adhesion

The single specification that decides fit is the 5 mil PVC construction combined with 14 oz./in. solvent rubber adhesive, which determines durability and holding power on industrial floor surfaces.

Questions about this item

What surface preparation is needed before applying the 5 Mil PVC tape with solvent rubber adhesive?

Clean the floor or aisle area so it is dry and free of dust, oil or debris; the aggressive rubber-based adhesive bonds best to a smooth, contaminant-free surface.

Can the 2-inch red tape be used on top of existing floor markings without lifting?

Yes, the 14 oz./in. adhesion allows it to stick over older vinyl or painted lines provided the old layer is firmly attached and the surface is cleaned first.

How can I verify the tape is performing as intended after installation?

Walk the marked aisle and check that edges remain flat, the red colour stays vivid under lighting, and the tape resists peeling when pallet jacks or forklifts cross it.
