Compact studio headphones for recording

The Beyerdynamic DT 270 Pro model 1002202 is a closed-back, over-ear headphone built for professional monitoring. It delivers a balanced sound profile with clear highs, defined mids and clean bass. A reinforced spring-steel headband and soft velour ear pads provide durable comfort for extended sessions. The detachable cable connects on either side for flexible positioning.

Suited to home studios and mobile creators

Musicians practising instruments, podcasters working in flexible setups and producers recording at home or on the move will appreciate the portable design and accurate tuning. Buyers who need active noise cancellation or wireless freedom should look elsewhere, as this model relies on passive isolation and a wired connection only.

Frequency response spans 5 Hz to 24 kHz

The 45-ohm impedance allows direct connection to laptops, interfaces and mobile devices without a dedicated amplifier. A supplied USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter adds further compatibility. The 4.26-foot cable gives enough reach for desktop use while the foldable construction keeps the package compact for transport.

Questions about this item

What source device must I own so the DT 270 Pro 1002202 receives a digital signal through its USB connector?

Any computer, phone or interface with a USB port that can output audio will drive the headphones directly; no extra sound card is required.

If I keep my mixer or audio interface that only has a 3.5 mm jack, can I still use these headphones?

Yes, the box includes a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter so you can plug the detachable cable into legacy 3.5 mm outputs.

After connecting the DT 270 Pro 1002202, how can I confirm the frequency response reaches 24 kHz as specified?

Play a calibrated sweep tone up to 24 kHz and listen for clean reproduction without roll-off or distortion at the top end.
