Universal 19-Inch Rack Shelf

This 1U vented cantilever shelf fits standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. It provides an 8-inch (203mm) deep platform for network, AV and other IT equipment. The unit ships disassembled so the lip can face up or down to suit different mounting needs. Two 1.2mm thick side brackets deliver a 44-pound load rating.

Included Hardware and Assembly

Four M6 screws with cage nuts and four M5 screws with nuts are supplied for rack mounting. Only the two side brackets require assembly using the provided fasteners. The vented shelf surface promotes airflow around installed devices. No additional tools or components are mentioned in the specifications.

Suitable Applications and Limits

This shelf suits installers who need a shallow, ventilated platform for lightweight gear in a 1U space. Builders requiring deeper shelving, higher weight capacity or a fully welded unit should consider other options. The fixed 8-inch depth may not accommodate larger appliances or chassis.

Questions about this item

Will the 1.2 mm holding sides ever need tightening or replacement under the 44 lb load rating?

The 1.2 mm sides are rated for the full 44 lb capacity; periodic screw checks are the only maintenance the shelf requires.

What limit appears first when the 8" deep shelf is fully loaded to 44 lb?

The 44 lb weight rating is the design limit; exceeding it risks bending the 1.2 mm sides.

Does the vented steel shelf add noticeable heat or noise when equipment runs all day?

The passive vented steel adds no noise and no heat of its own; it simply allows airflow through the 203 mm depth.
