4-Port USB 3.0 KVM Switch for Multi-Computer Setups

This BFKK KVM switch lets you share up to four USB 3.0 peripheral devices across four computers using panel buttons or an included remote control. It suits home offices, labs or small studios where a keyboard, mouse, printer and storage drive must move between desktops and laptops without cable swapping.

Check Host Ports and Peripheral Power Needs

Verify that each computer provides a standard USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 Type-A port for the upstream cables included with the switch. Confirm that the combined power draw of your four shared peripherals does not exceed what the host ports can supply, as the unit draws bus power from the connected computers.

Remote Control and Backward Compatibility Change

The bundled infrared remote lets you toggle the active host from across a desk or equipment rack, and it can be disabled in RF-sensitive areas. Backward compatibility with USB 2.0 means older wired or wireless peripherals work at their native speeds, while USB 3.0 devices reach up to 5 Gbps.

Questions about this item

Does the package include the cables needed to connect four computers, or must they be purchased separately?

The box contains the KVM switch and a remote control; USB 3.0 cables for linking each computer are not included and must be bought separately.

Is there a version with more ports or a higher speed rating than the four-port 5 Gbps model?

Only the four-port USB 3.0 model with a 5 Gbps data rate is offered; no larger-port or faster variants are listed.

Will a USB 3.0 external drive run at the advertised 5 Gbps when switched through this unit?

The switch supports USB 3.0 at up to 5 Gbps and is backward compatible with USB 2.0, so a USB 3.0 drive will operate at that speed provided the host computer and cable also support USB 3.0.
