Cat8 Cable for 40Gbps Networks

This 650-foot Cat8 Ethernet cable supports 40Gbps data rates and a 2000MHz bandwidth. It uses bare copper conductors with S/FTP shielding to block EMI and RFI. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors provide broad compatibility with routers, switches, consoles, PCs and smart TVs. The heavy-duty PVC jacket is built for both indoor and outdoor installation.

Ideal for Long Runs and High Interference

Suited for installers who need a single 650-foot pull for server links, cloud storage access or HD streaming across large premises. The shielded design helps maintain signal integrity near power lines or dense wiring. Buyers who only need short patch cords for a home desk should look at smaller lengths.

40Gbps at 2000MHz Over 650 Feet

The cable is rated for 40Gbps throughput at 2000MHz across the full 650-foot length. Both ends must support Cat8 speeds to achieve this rate. Verify that your switch, router or network card is rated for 40Gbps before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Does the 2000 MHz Cat8 cable generate noticeable heat or consume extra power during continuous 40 Gbps transfers?

The cable is passive and carries no active electronics, so it produces no measurable heat and draws no power of its own during all-day 40 Gbps use.

What devices must I already own to terminate and use the gold-plated RJ45 connectors on this 650 FT cable?

You need equipment with standard RJ45 ports — such as a router, switch, PC, PS5, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, smart TV or iMac — to plug the connectors directly in.

Will this Cat8 cable work reliably alongside my existing Cat6 and Cat5e patch cords in the same network?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with Cat6, Cat5e and Cat5, so it can sit in the same network without speed negotiation issues.
