What this cable is and who it serves
This DisplayPort 2.1 cable links a desktop or laptop to a monitor using a standard DisplayPort connector on each end. It is built for users who need 80 Gbps bandwidth and certified VESA performance for high-resolution gaming or professional displays.
Capacity and headroom: what it handles
The cable carries 16K at 60 Hz with DSC, 10K at 60 Hz, 8K at 120 Hz and 4K at 240 Hz, 165 Hz or 144 Hz. It also supports 2K at 360 Hz. Dynamic HDR, HDCP 2.2 and 32-bit 7.1 audio pass-through are included. It does not exceed the 80 Gbps limit of the DisplayPort 2.1 standard.
Practical limits of the DisplayPort 2.1 interface
The 10 ft length stays within the certified 80 Gbps rating, but longer runs would require active signal boosting. Backward compatibility covers DisplayPort 2.0, 1.4, 1.3, 1.2, 1.1 and 1.0, so older ports work at their native speeds. Buyers needing cable runs beyond this length or bandwidth above 80 Gbps must look for active or fibre alternatives.

Questions about this item
Will this 10 ft DisplayPort 2.1 cable work with my older monitor that only has a DisplayPort 1.2 input?
Yes, the cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.2, 1.1 and 1.0, so it will connect to your older monitor while still providing a reliable link.
How can I verify the cable is delivering the full 80 Gbps bandwidth after I plug it in?
Check your graphics control panel or monitor OSD to confirm the link is running at the highest supported resolution and refresh rate, such as 4K at 240 Hz or 8K at 120 Hz, which require the full bandwidth.
Does the box include any adapters or do I need to buy a separate DisplayPort to HDMI converter for my TV?
The package contains only the DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable with 24K gold-plated connectors and a double nylon braided jacket; no adapters or converters are included.
