The 80 Gbps link relies on DSC 1.2a compression to reach 16K at 60 Hz and 4K at 360 Hz. Without DSC the maximum uncompressed resolution will be lower. The cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.4, 1.3, 1.2 and 1.0 ports, but those older ports cannot deliver the full 80 Gbps or the highest refresh rates listed. HDCP 2.2 and HDR support are included.
