Dual Band WiFi Antenna 3dBi SMA Male
This dual band antenna kit covers 2.4 GHz from 2400 to 2485 MHz and 5 GHz from 5150 to 5850 MHz. It fits SMA male connectors on IP security cameras, wireless DVR recorders and truck rear view monitors. The pair also works with 5.8 GHz FPV drone controllers and industrial IoT gateways.
Passive operation with no power draw
These antennas add no active components to the signal chain, so they draw zero power and produce no noise. They simply replace the stock whip on compatible equipment to extend range or improve reception in obstructed areas.
Replaces short stock whips on SMA devices
The upgrade is worthwhile when the factory antenna cannot reach a distant access point or suffers multipath interference. Buyers who need MIMO spatial streams or connector types other than SMA male should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item
How do I install the SMA male antennas on my camera or router, and what is the common mistake?
Screw each SMA male connector clockwise onto the female SMA port of the camera, router, or monitor until snug; the common mistake is cross-threading or leaving the connection loose, which degrades the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz signal.
What maintenance or replacement will these antennas need over time?
No active maintenance is required; inspect the SMA threads and rubber housing periodically for corrosion or physical damage, and replace an antenna only if the connector is stripped or the element is cracked.
What is the first limit that appears when these antennas run continuously in a surveillance or FPV setup?
The practical limit is the fixed 3 dBi gain and the 2400-2485 MHz and 5150-5850 MHz band edges; beyond those frequencies the antennas cannot radiate, and sustained high-power transmission may overheat the small element.
