Crimps insulated and uninsulated ferrules from 23 to 7 AWG with a self-adjusting ratchet and square crimp profile
This hand tool crimps insulated and uninsulated wire ferrules from 23 to 7 AWG. A square crimp surface uses four synchronised claws to form serrated profiles on end-sleeve terminals. The self-adjusting ratchet selects the correct force automatically for each crimp cycle. Anti-slip handles and a safety release trigger prevent jams caused by misaligned terminals.
The ratchet mechanism removes the need to choose a die setting manually, so the tool upgrades from fixed-die crimpers that require operator judgement. It is worth the jump when repeatable crimp quality across a wide wire range matters more than a single-size tool. The full ratchet cycle only releases once the crimp is complete, reducing rework on production or field-termination jobs.
The tool covers 0.25 mm² to 10 mm² conductors, so wires larger than 7 AWG or smaller than 23 AWG fall outside its capacity. It cannot crimp non-ferrule terminals such as ring lugs or coaxial connectors. The square profile is fixed, so applications that demand a hexagonal or round crimp shape need a different tool.

The tool covers 23-7 AWG, which equals 0.25mm² to 10mm² for insulated and uninsulated ferrules and end sleeves.
The self-adjusting ratchet automatically sets the correct crimp force for each wire size; you must complete the full cycle until the handle releases to avoid a jam.
Check the four serrated crimp surfaces for wear or damage after heavy use; replace the tool if the square crimp profile no longer forms cleanly.
