Heavy-duty gas lift cylinder

This Class 4 replacement cylinder supports up to 450 lbs and fits most executive and computer chairs. It is designed for users who need a stronger piston than standard office chairs provide. The unit is new and ready for immediate installation.

Standard diameter with smooth rotation

The outer cylinder measures 2 inches and the inner cylinder measures 1.1 inches, matching common chair bases. Full 360 degree rotation operates smoothly and noiselessly in every direction. No extra screws are required for fitting.

Five-inch adjustable stroke

The piston extends from a minimum length of 10 inches to a maximum of 15 inches, giving a 5 inch height range. Buyers who need a longer or shorter travel distance should verify their chair specifications before ordering. First listed by the manufacturer in 2024.

Questions about this item

What load does the Class 4 cylinder support in practice?

The cylinder is rated for 450 lbs on most office, executive and computer chairs.

What are the outer and inner diameters I must match to my chair?

The outer cylinder measures 2 inches and the inner cylinder measures 1.1 inches.

How do I fit the cylinder without extra screws, and what step do people miss?

Remove the old cylinder, align the new unit with the chair base and seat mechanism, then press firmly until it seats fully; the common mistake is not pushing hard enough to engage the taper.
