Converts a single HDMI source to dual 3G-SDI or HD-SDI outputs at up to 1080p with automatic format detection and cable runs up to 200 metres
This BFKK unit converts a single HDMI Type A input into two simultaneous SDI outputs. It accepts common broadcast resolutions from 480i up to 1080p at frame rates of 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 Hz. The converter auto-detects whether the signal is HD-SDI or 3G-SDI and matches the output accordingly. A power supply adapter is included in the box.
The converter suits operators who need to send an HDMI camera or playback signal over coaxial cable to two SDI monitors or recorders up to 100 metres for 3G-SDI or 200 metres for HD-SDI. It embeds audio with the video stream and supports HDMI 1.3 with HDCP 1.3. It is not for users who require 4K UHD resolution, SDI-to-HDMI conversion, or more than two SDI outputs.
Connect the HDMI source, attach two BNC male coaxial cables to the SDI ports, and plug in the supplied power adapter; the unit auto-negotiates the output format with no software setup. The only common issue is feeding an unsupported input resolution or refresh rate, which the device will not process. Ensure the source matches the listed 480i through 1080p formats before connecting.

The unit accepts 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p at 50 or 60 Hz, and 1080i or 1080p at 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 Hz; any other HDMI format will not be recognised.
Yes, each SDI output uses a standard BNC male connector; the converter supports cable runs up to 100 metres for 3G-SDI and 200 metres for HD-SDI.
The dual SDI outputs auto-detect HD-SDI or 3G-SDI and automatically match the HDMI input; if both BNC feeds display a stable 720p or 1080p picture at 50 or 60 Hz, the conversion is working correctly.
