BFKK Pop-Up Floor Outlet Box

This BFKK pop-up floor outlet box hides beneath the surface until the button is pressed, then tilts open to reveal the receptacles. It is designed for installation in floors, countertops, decks, tables or desks in kitchens, living rooms, offices and public areas. The unit has a black stainless steel cover and a compact rectangular profile.

Suited for wet-location power access.

Installers who need a flush, waterproof receptacle that meets 2017 NEC Article 406.12 for tamper-resistant outlets will find this box appropriate. It is not for buyers who need a portable power strip, a wall-mounted outlet or a device without a junction box. The unit requires a cut-out and permanent wiring by a qualified electrician.

Two 20A tamper-resistant receptacles

The outlet provides two 20A tamper-resistant receptacles plus two USB charging ports rated at 4.8A total. This combination decides whether the box can handle the intended appliances and charging devices. The assembled dimensions are 120 x 120 x 88 mm and the package includes weather gaskets, mounting screws, junction box and instructions.

Questions about this item

How often should the weather gaskets be inspected or replaced to keep the floor outlet waterproof?

Inspect the weather gaskets annually and replace them if they show cracking or loss of elasticity; the stainless steel box and cover remain maintenance-free under normal indoor or covered outdoor use.

What is the continuous load limit before the 20 A tamper-resistant receptacles or the 4.8 A USB ports trip?

The two receptacles are rated for 20 A each and the USB ports share a 4.8 A total output; sustained loads above those ratings will cause the circuit breaker to trip first.

How warm does the stainless steel cover get when both USB ports and both receptacles run at full load all day?

The cover stays close to ambient temperature because the 20 A receptacles and 4.8 A USB ports dissipate heat through the metal box; no noticeable warmth is felt during continuous maximum-load operation.
