A 100 ft fiber-optic HDMI 2.1 cable carrying 48 Gbps for 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz with eARC and VRR support
This 100 ft fiber-optic HDMI cable carries 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz without compression or latency. It supports 48 Gbps bandwidth and is backward compatible with HDMI 2.0 and earlier versions down to 1.1. The unidirectional design requires the source and display ends to be connected correctly. It suits installers who need long runs for high-resolution video and eARC audio.
Copper HDMI cables lose signal integrity well before 100 ft at 48 Gbps, forcing compression or lower refresh rates. This fiber cable removes that limit, so the jump is worth it when the run exceeds typical copper reach and 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz must be preserved. It is not for runs short enough that a passive copper cable meets the same specification.
The cable connects a source device such as a PC, console or streamer to a display or AV receiver. Its fiber core is immune to electromagnetic interference, freeing the installer from routing constraints near power cables. The cable must not be bent sharply because excessive force can fracture the fiber core and break the link. It requires no external power and adds no active electronics at the display end.

The fiber core will break if subjected to big external force or forceful bending, so avoid tight bends and heavy pressure along the 100ft run.
Connect the end marked SOURCE to the signal source such as a laptop or PC, and the end marked DISPLAY to the display; reversing them breaks the link.
Prevent the fiber core from breaking by never forcefully bending the cable and protecting it from heavy external force during and after installation.
