75 ft Active Optical HDMI 2.0 Cable

This 75 ft active optical HDMI cable carries 4K 60 Hz signals over long runs where copper cables fail. It is built for installers and AV integrators who need reliable video and audio distribution in commercial or residential plenum spaces. The hybrid fibre and copper construction keeps the outer diameter to 4.8 mm for easier pulls.

Plenum Rating and Directional Design

The CMP plenum rating permits installation in air-handling ceilings and raised floors without additional conduit. The cable is not bi-directional; connectors are marked SOURCE and DISPLAY so the source end connects to players, consoles or computers and the display end connects to the screen. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain signal integrity.

18 Gbps Bandwidth Headroom

The link supports 18 Gbps data rates with 4:4:4 chroma at 8 bit, handling HDR, EDID, HDCP 2.2, 3D, CEC and ARC plus multi-channel audio such as Dolby Atmos. It runs out of headroom for 4K signals above 60 Hz or for any 8K resolution, so buyers needing higher refresh rates or 8K must choose a different cable.

Questions about this item

Will the 50/125 µm fiber cores need replacement over time?

The 50/125 µm fiber cores are built into the cable assembly and are not user-replaceable; if the cable fails the entire 75 ft run must be swapped.

What is the maximum data rate the link can sustain continuously?

The cable supports up to 18 Gbps, which is the ceiling for 4K at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma.

Does the active optical design generate heat or require external power during all-day operation?

The active electronics draw power from the HDMI source port; no separate supply is needed and the thin 4.8 mm jacket stays cool in plenum spaces.
