NDI to HDMI 2.0 converter

The BirdDog PLAY Pro 4K NDI Player receives NDI and NDI HX3 streams over Gigabit Ethernet and outputs them through HDMI 2.0 at up to UHD 4K60. It is built for studios, conference rooms and live production setups that need a reliable way to put network video onto a standard display.

Teams needing KVM and remote control

The unit includes KVM-over-IP support so operators can control source devices from a distance, plus CEC and NDI remote control for display management. It is not suited for workflows that require SDI connectivity or multi-channel audio extraction beyond the 3.5 mm output.

Single-stream 4K60 headroom

One HDMI 2.0 output comfortably handles a single UHD 4K60 feed from the network. The Gigabit Ethernet link and PoE 802.3af power supply provide enough bandwidth and headroom for high-bitrate NDI, but the device does not aggregate multiple concurrent 4K streams.

Questions about this item

Does the BirdDog PLAY Pro 4K need an HDMI 2.0 display to show 4K60 video?

Yes, the HDMI 2.0 output delivers up to UHD 4K60, so the connected display must support that resolution and refresh rate for the full image quality.

Will the Gigabit Ethernet port carry both NDI and NDI HX3 streams from my existing cameras?

The single Gigabit Ethernet port handles standard NDI and the newer NDI HX3 format, letting you mix both stream types on the same network.

How can I confirm the unit is receiving a live NDI stream after I connect it?

The on-screen BirdUI shows detected NDI sources as thumbnails; selecting one switches the HDMI output instantly, confirming the stream is active.
