Black Box Slim-Net Cat6a 1 ft Green

This Black Box Slim-Net Cat6a patch cable measures 1 ft and uses 28 AWG stranded conductors. The green PVC jacket is unshielded and rated for 500 MHz bandwidth. It terminates with RJ-45 male connectors on both ends for standard network connections.

Suits tight patch-panel runs and short device links

The 1 ft length limits use to very close equipment, so buyers needing longer reach should look elsewhere. The 28 AWG stranded build is not intended for in-wall or PoE-heavy installations. Unshielded construction may not meet environments that require screened cabling.

Questions about this item

How much space does the 28 AWG cable need behind a patch panel?

The 28 AWG stranded conductors make this cable much thinner than standard patch leads, so it fits easily in high-density panels and tight cable managers.

What is the correct way to seat the RJ-45 plugs on this 1 ft cable?

Push each RJ-45 male connector until the tab clicks firmly into the port; the short 1 ft length means any slack will pull the plug loose if not fully seated.
