Shielded CAT6 20-ft Patch Lead

This 20-foot Category 6 cable uses 26 AWG stranded conductors inside a PIMF shielded construction. The PVC jacket is coloured blue and the assembly is rated to 250 MHz. It is supplied new and ready for immediate connection.

For flexible patching not fixed installs

Suitable for workstation-to-switch links, rack patch panels and temporary test setups where the cable is moved or rearranged. Installers running cables through walls, conduit or ceiling plenums should select solid-conductor cable rated for permanent installation.

26 AWG stranded conductors

The 26 AWG stranded wire gives the flexibility needed for frequent reconnection and tight bends behind desks or in cabinets. Solid-conductor cable is required for horizontal runs that must meet structured-cabling distance limits.

Questions about this item

What does the 250-MHz rating mean for actual network speed?

The 250-MHz bandwidth supports CAT6 performance up to 1 Gbps over the full 20-ft length, suitable for typical home and office Ethernet links.

How does the SSTP shielding with PIMF construction affect the connection?

Each twisted pair has its own foil shield plus an overall braid, reducing crosstalk and external interference in electrically noisy environments.

What physical space does the 20-ft blue PVC jacket need for routing?

The 20-ft (6.0-m) stranded cable is flexible for tight bends around racks or desks while the blue PVC jacket resists abrasion during installation.
