The Black Box ACR1020A extends dual-head DVI-D video, USB 2.0 peripheral control, stereo audio and serial console access over a standard Gigabit Ethernet network. It is built for administrators who need to manage servers or workstations from a remote console without installing proprietary cabling. The transmitter and receiver units are identical in form factor, simplifying spares management in data-centre or broadcast environments.

Sustained Operation Over IP Network

No-loss compression keeps bandwidth demand low while preserving pixel-perfect 1920x1080 output during continuous sessions. Dual RJ-45 ports support teaming mode to aggregate throughput, and IGMP v2 compatibility allows the stream to coexist with other multicast traffic on managed switches. AES 128-bit encryption secures the video, USB and audio payloads for the duration of every connection, and Magic Eye processing corrects dithered graphics without adding latency.

Pre-Deployment Checklist

Verify that each target system provides dual DVI-D digital outputs, USB 2.0 Type-B and 3.5-mm audio connectors matching the console side. Confirm the network infrastructure uses CAT6 or better cabling and that switches support jumbo frames and IGMP snooping for multicast distribution. An SFP slot is available for fibre uplinks, but the transceiver module must be sourced separately. Ensure 2.5-mm DC power is provisioned at both endpoints.
