2U Rackmount Chassis

The Black Box ACU5000A chassis houses ServSwitch Wizard extender modules in a standard 19-inch rack. It occupies 2U of vertical space and includes mounting brackets and screws for quick installation. This enclosure is for administrators who need to consolidate extender hardware in a data centre or server room.

Replaces Loose Extender Units

The chassis replaces individual desktop extender boxes that consume bench space and complicate cable routing. The jump is worth it when multiple extender modules must be secured, powered and managed from a single rack location. It is not for operators who only run a single point-to-point link.

Rack Integration Steps

Slide the extender modules into the chassis bays, fasten the supplied brackets to the 19-inch rails and secure with the provided screws. Verify that each module seats firmly to avoid intermittent video at 1600 x 1200. Misaligned brackets or loose screws are the most common cause of signal drop-outs.
