Solid bulk cable for structured wiring

This CAT5e solid-conductor cable comes in a 1000 ft (304.8 m) pull box for permanent installation. The CM-rated jacket meets general-purpose building codes for in-wall and horizontal runs. Blue colour coding simplifies circuit identification in patch panels and wall outlets. It is suited for installers and IT teams building or expanding wired LAN infrastructure.

Passive component with no active cooling

As an unshielded twisted-pair cable it has no fans, pumps or power draw and therefore produces no operational noise. Thermal output is negligible because the product carries only low-voltage data signals. Performance depends on correct termination and adherence to the 100 m channel limit. Installers needing plenum-rated or outdoor jacketed cable should select a different specification.

Questions about this item

How do I install the solid-conductor CAT5e bulk cable in wall cavities, and what is the common mistake with the 1000 ft length?

Pull the 1000 ft solid cable slowly to avoid kinks; the frequent error is bending it tighter than four times the cable diameter, which damages the solid conductors.

What maintenance or replacement will the CM-rated blue bulk cable need after installation?

The CM jacket is rated for in-wall use and requires no scheduled maintenance; replacement is only necessary if physical damage occurs or if a future application demands a higher fire rating.
