  • Mounts 1-2 Emerald-4K units in 19-inch rack
  • Slim design saves 45 D rack depth space
  • Includes blanking panel to cover unused second shelf
  • TAA compliant for government procurement needs
  • Compatible with EMD4000-RMK1 for flexible configurations

Slim 19-inch rack kit

The Black Box Emerald rackmount kit fits a standard 19-inch enclosure and occupies 45 D of rack depth. It accepts one or two Emerald-4K transmitters or receivers for KVM-over-IP extension. The slim profile suits installations that must preserve depth for other equipment.

Dual-slot blanking panel

A blanking panel covers the unused mounting shelf when only a single Emerald-4K unit is installed. This maintains airflow discipline and a clean front appearance in the rack. The kit is compatible with the EMD4000-RMK1 mounting hardware for consistent deployment.

Upgrade from single-unit shelves

The kit replaces single-device shelves when a second Emerald-4K unit is added to the same rack space. It is not suited for installations that require full-depth mounting trays or support for non-Emerald KVM extenders. The jump is worthwhile when rack depth is at a premium and dual density is needed.
