Black Box Cat 6 bulk cable

The Black Box EVNSL0601A-1000 is a 1000 ft roll of Category 6 Ethernet cable in blue. It is sold as bare wire on both ends for custom termination in structured cabling projects. The cable carries RoHS certification and a lifetime limited warranty from the manufacturer. It suits installers who need bulk copper for permanent infrastructure runs.

Ideal for on-site termination projects

This roll fits electricians and network technicians who cut exact lengths and attach their own connectors in walls, ceilings or patch panels. It is not suited to buyers who want a finished patch cord with factory-fitted plugs. It also does not meet the needs of installers requiring shielded or outdoor-rated jacket types not described here.

Category 6 rating defines performance

The single specification that decides suitability is the Cat 6 classification, which sets the bandwidth and crosstalk limits for the link. The 1000 ft length determines how many drops can be pulled from one reel. Verify that your termination hardware and tester are rated for Cat 6 before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the 1000 ft Cat 6 reel arrive with connectors fitted or as bare wire?

Both ends are bare wire so you terminate the run with the keystone jacks or patch plugs your installation requires.

Which version of this cable should I select for a permanent in-wall run?

The single 1000 ft blue Cat 6 reel with shielding and RoHS compliance is the only variant listed for fixed horizontal cabling.

What does the Cat 6 rating deliver once the cable is terminated in a live network?

It supports Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 m and meets the lifetime warranty specification for structured cabling systems.
