Null-Modem Cable for AT-to-AT Transfers

This Black Box null-modem cable crosses pins 2 and 3 to meet RS-232 standards. It has a 115-ohm nominal impedance at 1 MHz or above and features a gray PVC jacket with metal EMI/RFI hoods. The product is guaranteed for life.

Users needing RS-232 serial file transfers

The cable suits technicians moving data between legacy AT systems over a serial link. Buyers who require standard LAN patch cables for Ethernet networks should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What serial port does the EYN257T-0025-FF cable connect to for AT-to-AT file transfers?

It crosses pins 2 and 3 to meet RS-232 standards, so it plugs directly into a standard 9-pin or 25-pin serial port on each computer.

Will the 115-ohm nominal impedance of this null-modem cable cause issues with legacy RS-232 equipment?

No, the 115-ohm rating at 1 MHz matches typical RS-232 signalling, and the metal hoods suppress EMI/RFI that older gear is sensitive to.
