  • 36 duplex LC ports for high-density patching
  • Low 0.3 dB LC insertion loss at 850/1300 nm
  • MTP insertion loss limited to 0.75 dB at 850/1300 nm
  • Compact 1.5" rack-mount form fits 108 LC enclosure
  • Lifetime limited warranty from Black Box Corporation

High-density LGX cassette for 108 LC enclosures

This LGX cassette provides 36 duplex LC ports fed by three 12-fibre MTP connectors. It is designed for the High-Density 108 LC Enclosure and suits data-centre patching where rack space is at a premium.

Insertion-loss limits at 850 and 1300 nm

LC connectors are specified at 0.3 dB maximum loss and MTP connectors at 0.75 dB maximum loss, both measured at 850 and 1300 nm. These figures set the practical attenuation budget for any link that uses the cassette.

Handles 36 fibre connections in a single 1.5-inch

The cassette occupies one LGX slot and delivers 36 fibres without additional hardware. It reaches capacity when all 36 LC duplex ports are populated; further expansion requires another cassette or a higher-density enclosure.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 3 MTP 12 to 36 LC Type A cassette for my high-density rack?

Yes, this LGX cassette fits the High-Density 108 LC Enclosure (FOEN50HD-3H-1U) and provides 36 duplex LC ports from three 12-fibre MTP connectors in a 1.5" high rack-mountable module.

What does the 0.3 dB LC insertion loss mean once the cassette is installed?

Each duplex LC connection adds at most 0.3 dB loss at 850/1300 nm, so a full channel through the cassette stays within tight loss budgets for OM3 links.

How does the MTP interface limit performance in practice?

The MTP connectors are rated at 0.75 dB max insertion loss at 850/1300 nm, which sets the per-connector loss ceiling for the three 12-fibre trunk cables feeding the cassette.
