2U 48-port CAT5e patch panel

The Black Box JPM906A-R6 is a 2U rack-mountable patch panel with 48 unshielded RJ-45 ports for CAT5e cabling. It fits standard 19-inch racks and provides high-density copper termination for structured wiring in data centres and wiring closets.

Installation notes

The unit mounts in a 2U space using the included 10-32 and 12-24 cup-head screws. A cable support bar and cable ties ship in the box to manage strain relief, while stuffer caps cover unused ports. Terminating 48 cables takes time, so plan for a punch-down session and verify pin-out before closing the rack.

Pre-order checklist

Confirm the rack has a free 2U opening with 19-inch EIA spacing and at least 1.3 inches of usable depth behind the mounting rails. Ensure the patch cables you intend to use are CAT5e or better and that your cable manager can handle the additional bundle diameter from 48 connections.
