DisplayPort 4K 30Hz KVM Extender

The Black Box KVXLCDP-100 extends a DisplayPort 1.2a video signal up to 3840 x 2160 at 30Hz over CATx cabling. It also transports USB 2.0, serial and audio connections in a single-head configuration. The unit is TAA compliant for procurement requirements.

Sustained operation over 328.08 ft

Video, USB and audio streams travel together across the full 328.08 ft link without separate cabling runs. The extender maintains the 4K 30Hz signal and peripheral data continuously across that distance. Dual RJ-45 ports provide the network path for the extended connection.

Single-head DisplayPort 1.2a constraint

This extender supports one DisplayPort source at up to 4K 30Hz and does not accommodate multi-head layouts. Buyers needing multiple independent video outputs or higher refresh rates at 4K must select a different solution.

Questions about this item

Does the KVXLCDP-100 KVM switch produce noticeable noise or heat when operating continuously?

The unit has no fan and uses passive cooling, so it runs silently and generates minimal heat during all-day operation.

What cables and ports must I already have to connect this KVM extender kit?

You need DisplayPort 1.2a cables for video, USB 2.0 cables for peripheral signals, and CATx patch cables with RJ-45 connectors for the 328.08 ft link between the local and remote units.

Will the KVXLCDP-100 pass 4K 30 Hz video from an older DisplayPort 1.2 source to a legacy monitor without scaling issues?

Yes, the extender transports DisplayPort 1.2a signals up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz transparently, so older GPUs and monitors that support that resolution and refresh rate work without added scaling.
