Gigabit media converter with two PoE+ RJ-45 ports and one SFP slot for fibre uplinks
The Black Box LGC5210A converts 10/100/1000BASE-T signals to SFP fibre links while delivering PoE+ power on both RJ-45 ports. Rail-mountable and wall-mountable, it suits integrators extending powered devices such as cameras or access points beyond copper distance limits.
The single SFP slot accepts standard Gigabit transceivers for fibre reach, while the twisted-pair side remains bound to the 100-metre Ethernet segment limit. Power is sourced from the included AC adapter, so the unit needs a nearby mains outlet; there is no management port for remote configuration.
Installations that previously used a standalone media converter plus a mid-span PoE injector can consolidate to this single device. The jump is worthwhile when reducing rack space, cabling complexity and point-of-failure count outweighs the need for managed switching features.

Yes — the LGC5210A provides exactly two PoE+ RJ-45 ports plus a single SFP expansion slot, so one unit handles both copper endpoints and the fibre uplink.
It gives full gigabit throughput on each copper port, auto-negotiating down to 10 or 100 Mbps for legacy devices while still powering them over PoE+.
The single SFP slot accepts any standard 1000Base-X transceiver, so distance and fibre type are set by the module you install rather than the switch itself.
