The Black Box LIG401A is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch built for deployment in factories, oil and gas fields, military vehicles, and HVAC or security systems. It provides four RJ-45 ports with 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation and one 100/1000BASE-SFP slot for fiber uplinks. The fanless, IP30-rated housing operates from -40 to 75 degrees Celsius and supports DIN rail or wall mounting for flexible installation in tight spaces.

Sustained Load Behaviour

A 128 KB buffer and a 2000-entry MAC address table handle continuous traffic without head-of-line blocking, while 9000-byte jumbo frame support reduces overhead on large data transfers. Quality of Service prioritises time-sensitive streams such as surveillance video or control signals during congestion. Dual redundant 12 to 58 V DC inputs with reverse polarity protection keep the switch running if one supply fails, and an alarm relay signals the fault immediately.
