  • Available since 2017 for proven field performance

1-Port T1/E1 Network Extender Kit

The Black Box Corporation LR0301A-KIT extends Ethernet connectivity over a single T1 or E1 circuit. It suits installers who must bridge LAN segments across existing telecom wiring where fibre or new copper cannot be run.

Pre-installation checks

Verify that the site provides a live T1 or E1 line with the correct framing and line-code settings expected by the extender. Confirm that both endpoints can supply the required power and that the existing cabling meets the electrical characteristics for the chosen circuit type.

Sustained-load behaviour

The unit is built for continuous carrier-grade operation rather than short burst traffic. It maintains steady throughput across the T1 or E1 payload for long-haul links without the thermal throttling seen in consumer-grade converters.

Questions about this item

What comes in the LR0301A-KIT box and what must be purchased separately?

The kit includes two extender units for a point-to-point link; each end requires its own power source, which is not included.

Which version of the LR0301A-KIT should I choose for a single T1 or E1 circuit?

This model provides exactly one T1/E1 port, so it is the correct choice when extending a single circuit over Ethernet.

How far can the 1-Port T1/E1 extender transmit data over the Ethernet link?

The extender carries the T1 or E1 signal across the Ethernet network, so the reach depends on your Ethernet infrastructure rather than a fixed distance.
