Purpose-built splitter for multi-screen 4K

This Black Box VSP-HDMI2-1X4 takes a single HDMI 2.0 source and duplicates it across four displays. It is built for integrators and AV professionals who need reliable signal distribution in commercial or residential environments.

Bandwidth ceiling that defines compatibility

The 18 Gbps pipeline carries 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 8-bit colour and HDCP 2.2 compliance. EDID and HDCP management keep the handshake stable across all four outputs so the source never drops to a lower mode.

Four simultaneous 4K60 streams with 21:9 headroom

Each output delivers full 4K60 bandwidth, and the 18 Gbps total also accommodates ultra-wide 21:9 content without compression. The splitter runs out of headroom only when a source demands more than 18 Gbps, such as 4K at higher refresh rates or 10-bit HDR signalling.

Questions about this item

What does the 4096 x 2160 resolution look like when the splitter feeds four displays?

Each connected display receives the same 4K signal at up to 60 Hz with 4:4:4 8-bit colour, so all four screens show identical full-resolution content.

How does the HDMI 2.0 interface limit the bandwidth available to each output?

The 18 Gbps total bandwidth is shared across the four outputs, capping each stream at 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 8-bit without exceeding the HDMI 2.0 specification.

What mounting hardware is included to secure the metal chassis in a rack or on a wall?

Two mounting brackets are supplied with the unit, allowing the 6.6-inch wide by 2.7-inch deep metal enclosure to be fixed in place.
