A 50-foot serial cable with 9-conductor 24 AWG wiring, foil shielding and DB9/DB25 connectors for RS-232 modem or printer links
This 50 FT RS-232 cable connects an AT or compatible PC to asynchronous modems at any speed. The DB9 female to DB25 male ends suit serial printers, modems and other legacy peripherals. Nine conductors at 24 AWG carry the full handshake set. Foil shield with a drain wire protects data in noisy environments.
Low capacitance keeps attenuation minimal across the full 50 FT run during continuous sessions. Foil shielding and the drain wire reject EMI that would otherwise corrupt long transfers. Removable hoods allow field repinning so a damaged pin never ends the link. The assembly is guaranteed for life.
The nine-wire layout carries every RS-232 control line including CD, TR and RI for complete modem control. Cables with fewer conductors drop secondary signals and break hardware flow control. Verify the peripheral expects a full 9-wire DB25 interface before ordering.

Yes, the foil shield and drain wire are designed for noisy environments and maintain low capacitance over the full 50 ft length.
One device needs a DB9 port and the other a DB25 port; the cable provides the female/male gender change and the 9-conductor pinout including CD and TR.
The cable is built to the RS-232 standard with 24 AWG wires and all nine conductors, so it connects a DB9 AT/PC port to a DB25 modem without signal loss.
