Black Box EVNSL0272BK-0025 CAT6 250MHz SFTP 25ft

Shielded Cat6 Patch Cable 25ft

This Black Box cable is a shielded Cat6 patch lead rated to 250 MHz and built with 26 AWG stranded conductors. The SFTP construction wraps each twisted pair and the overall bundle in foil to suppress alien crosstalk in dense cable runs. A moulded slim boot protects the latch while keeping the plug profile narrow for high-density patch panels. The 25-foot length suits rack-to-rack or desk-to-panel links in commercial installations.

Suited For And Not Suited For

Installers who need a flexible, shielded jumper for Gigabit Ethernet in electrically noisy environments will find the foil shielding and stranded conductors appropriate. The cable is not intended for permanent horizontal runs inside walls or ceilings where solid-conductor horizontal cable is required by building codes. Buyers who need longer reach than 25 feet should select a different length, and anyone requiring an unshielded or outdoor-rated cable must look elsewhere.

Deciding Specification

The 26 AWG stranded conductor gauge is the single figure that determines whether this patch cord fits the application; it governs flexibility, insertion loss and the maximum channel distance allowed by TIA limits for stranded patch cables.
