Network installation cable

This 1000 ft bulk spool provides Category 6 performance rated at 400 MHz for structured wiring projects. The green jacket identifies plenum-rated cable suitable for installation in air-handling spaces. Bare wire ends allow custom termination for data, audio and video distribution in 10/100/1000 Mbps networks.

Shielded construction and standards

Aluminium Mylar tape and foil shielding protect signal integrity against EMI and RFI noise in electrically noisy environments. The cable meets TIA/EIA-568-C.2 Category 6, ISO/IEC 11801, UL 444 and RoHS 2002/95/EC requirements. Solid 24 AWG conductors ensure reliable performance for permanent infrastructure runs.

Sustained installation performance

Under continuous network load the shielding maintains consistent attenuation and crosstalk margins across the full 400 MHz bandwidth. Plenum-rated materials retain fire-safety compliance during long-term deployment in ceiling voids and raised floors. The solid conductor design resists fatigue where cables remain fixed, unlike stranded patch leads that are not suited for permanent runs.

Questions about this item

How do I pull the 1000 ft spool through plenum spaces without kinking the foil shield?

Unreel the cable from the spool centre, keep bends gentle, and avoid sharp staples that could tear the aluminum Mylar tape shield.

What maintenance or replacement will this Cat6 plenum cable need later?

The solid 24 AWG conductors and foil shield are passive; no scheduled maintenance is required unless physical damage occurs during or after installation.

What limit shows up first under sustained 1000 Mbps traffic on this 400 MHz shielded cable?

The 1000 Mbps Ethernet signalling rate is the practical ceiling; the 400 MHz bandwidth headroom exceeds that rate.
