Black Box Innovations 19" Rackmount Tray for KVX Series Extenders

19-inch rackmount tray

This tray installs in a 2- or 4-post 19-inch rack or cabinet and holds up to two KVX Series KVM extenders, either transmitters or receivers. It is designed for IT administrators who need to consolidate extender units in a standard server enclosure. The unit ships new and ready for immediate integration.

Passive cooling and power

The tray contains no fans or active components, so it adds no audible noise to the rack environment. Power consumption is limited to the extenders mounted inside it, with no additional draw from the tray itself. Thermal performance depends entirely on the rack airflow and the extenders' own specifications.

Sustained operation

Under continuous use the tray simply provides mechanical support and cable management for the installed extenders. Its steel construction resists deformation over time, and the open design allows rack airflow to reach the devices without restriction. No throttling or thermal limits are introduced by the tray.
