17" LCD Console Tray KVM Switch

The Black Box KVT617A combines a 17-inch LCD panel with an integrated keyboard and touchpad in a single-rail sliding tray. It provides direct rack-mount access for controlling connected servers or workstations. The unit features LED backlighting for visibility in low-light environments and supports both USB and video connections. It is designed for administrators managing multiple systems from a single console.

Check rack depth and video inputs before ordering

Verify that your rack enclosure has sufficient depth to accommodate the sliding tray mechanism when fully extended. Confirm the target systems provide compatible video outputs matching the switch's available ports for proper signal transmission. Ensure the connected computers support USB keyboard and mouse input for the integrated peripherals to function correctly. The single-rail design requires adequate clearance for smooth operation.

Questions about this item

Does the 17" console tray arrive with all mounting hardware and cables, or must I buy anything extra?

The KVT617A ships as a complete single-rail LCD console tray with integrated touchpad and LED backlight; no separate components are required for basic operation.

The supplier title lists USB, HDMI and VGA — which connection should I pick for my server rack?

Use HDMI for digital video sources, VGA for legacy analogue sources, and USB for keyboard and mouse control; the tray supports all three interfaces simultaneously.
