Dual-Head Extender Rackmount Tray

The Black Box KVXLCRMKDUAL tray mounts a dual-head KVX extender in a standard server rack. It is intended for administrators who need to locate keyboard, video and mouse connections at the rack while the extender itself sits in the equipment space.

Tool-less slide-in installation

The tray accepts the extender without screws or brackets, so deployment takes seconds. Misalignment of the guide rails is the only common issue; if the unit does not seat fully, re-seat the extender before locking the rack door.

Passive mechanical operation

Because the tray contains no active components, it adds no heat and requires no power. It behaves identically under continuous use and brief access, making it suitable for permanently staffed or lights-out server rooms.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the KVXLCRMKDUAL tray is correctly installed and operational?

The tray is a passive mechanical mount; verify it by checking that both extender units sit securely, all mounting screws are tight, and the rack ears align flush with the rack posts.

What ships with the KVXLCRMKDUAL and what must I source separately?

The package includes the rackmount tray and its mounting hardware; the KVX dual-head extender units themselves, video cables, and any power supplies are sold separately.

Which version of the Black Box KVX dual-head extender rackmount tray should I select?

Only one version exists — manufacturer part number KVXLCRMKDUAL (UPC 822088150893) — so choose this single SKU for your dual-head KVX extender installation.
