The Black Box LPJ001A-T-R2 is a midspan injector that delivers 30 W of Power over Ethernet Plus to 802.3at and 802.3af compliant devices. It suits installers powering multi-radio wireless access points, PTZ security cameras, IP phones with video displays or LCDs where AC outlets are unavailable. A single Ethernet cable carries both data and power for simpler wiring.

Sustained load behaviour

The unit provides overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuit protection on the power output per 802.3at specifications. Overtemperature protection shuts the injector down automatically without damage when thermal limits are reached. Diagnostic LEDs indicate 802.3at device detection and alert operators to fault conditions during continuous operation.

Installation and common issues

Plug-and-play installation requires no software configuration; simply connect the injector between the network switch and the powered device using RJ-45 links at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps.
