Secure Dual-Head KVM Switch

The Black Box SS2P-DH-HDMI-U is a NIAP 3.0 certified KVM switch designed for high-security environments. It enables a single operator to control up to four isolated computers using one dual-monitor console. Hardware-enforced data-path isolation and anti-tampering seals protect sensitive workflows.

Suited for air-gapped networks.

Government agencies and defence contractors needing strict peripheral isolation will benefit from fixed firmware and automatic keyboard clearing. Organisations without NIAP 3.0 mandates or those requiring DisplayPort, USB-C or more than two monitors should evaluate alternatives.

Four computers share two 4K 60 Hz displays

Each of the four computer ports supplies an HDMI and USB-B connection, while the console side provides two HDMI and two USB-A ports. Video supports up to 3840x2160 at 60Hz across both screens, and a 12 VDC supply is included.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the SS2P-DH-HDMI-U is switching securely after setup?

Check that the tamper-evident hologram seals are intact, the chassis shows no intrusion marks and the front-panel LEDs indicate the active port; the fixed firmware and automatic keyboard data clearing operate without user intervention.

What cables or accessories must I buy separately for four computers and two monitors?

The box includes the KVM, a 12-VDC power supply with US cord and a quick-start guide; you must supply four HDMI cables for the PC video inputs, two HDMI cables for the console monitors, four USB Type-B cables for the PC USB links and any 3.5 mm audio cables you need.

The model name mentions 4-port and 2-monitor — which version supports that exact configuration?

The SS2P-DH-HDMI-U itself provides four computer ports and two console monitor ports with dual-head 4K 60 Hz operation; there are no alternate capacity versions listed for this part number.
