The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter SDI Distribution 4K takes one Single Link SD, HD, 3G or 6G-SDI input and delivers eight re-clocked SDI outputs. It is built for broadcast, post-production and professional AV workflows that need a single source sent to multiple monitors, recorders or switchers without signal degradation.

Build and connectivity

The ultra-compact metal enclosure houses eight BNC outputs and one BNC input, all supporting 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 sampling at 48 kHz 24-bit audio. A 12 V universal power supply with international socket adapters and a cable tie point is included. Operating temperature ranges from 0 °C to 40 °C with humidity up to 90 % non-condensing.

Format limits

Automatic input detection handles SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI and 6G-SDI rates compliant with SMPTE 259M, 292M, 296M, 372M and 425M. Maximum supported resolutions are Ultra HD 4K at 3840 × 2160 up to 30 fps and DCI 4K at 4096 × 2160 at 24 fps. It does not support 12G-SDI rates or resolutions beyond 4K.
