Vandal-proof 2 megapixel IP camera

The Bluecctv 9030 is a fixed-dome network camera with a 2 megapixel sensor that captures 1600 × 1200 resolution. It uses H.264 and MJPEG dual-codec streaming and includes a built-in microphone for audio capture. The metal housing is rated for outdoor use with vandal-resistant construction.

Installers needing Eyemax 9000 DVR compatibility

This camera is designed to work with Eyemax 9000 PC-based DVR systems including models 9030, 9060, 9120, 9240, 9448 and 9632. It suits projects that require true day/night operation with an IR-cut filter and infrared LEDs for night viewing. Buyers who need a motorised varifocal lens or a different DVR platform should look at other models.

Fixed 3.6 mm focal length

The lens is a non-adjustable 3.6 mm module that sets the field of view permanently at installation. No optical zoom or remote focus adjustment is available. The three-axis dome mechanism allows precise aiming during mounting but the focal length itself cannot be changed afterwards.

Questions about this item

What does the 2 megapixel 1600 × 1200 resolution deliver in a live view?

The sensor captures 1600 by 1200 pixels and streams dual 720P HD plus VGA feeds in real time, giving clear detail for identification and a lower-bandwidth backup stream.

How does the H.264 codec affect recording and bandwidth on this camera?

H.264 compression runs alongside MJPEG simultaneously, reducing storage needs and network load while still providing an uncompressed MJPEG option for quality-critical clips.

What mounting clearance does the 3.6 mm fixed lens and 3-axis dome require?

The 3.6 mm lens gives a fixed wide field of view, and the 3-axis dome construction lets you pan, tilt and rotate the module inside the vandal-proof metal housing for precise aiming on wall or ceiling.
