A 1.3 megapixel bullet camera with a 2.8-12mm vari-focal lens and 72 IR LEDs providing night vision up to 196 feet
The Bluecctv BL-7072IRU is a 720P bullet camera built around a 1/3" Sony 1.3 Mega Pixel Exmor sensor. It delivers 1000 TVL resolution for analogue CCTV systems. The varifocal 2.8-12mm lens lets installers adjust the field of view on site. Seventy-two IR LEDs provide night vision up to 196FT with Smart IR to prevent centre white-out.
This model replaces fixed-lens analogue cameras when the viewing angle must be tuned after mounting. The jump is worth it for sites that need identifiable detail at varying distances, such as entrance gates or long corridors. A 960H DVR is required to resolve the full 1000 TVL output. Without a 960H recorder the extra horizontal lines cannot be recorded.
The camera runs on DC 12V and supports UTC control for OSD adjustments over the coaxial cable. It offers PAL and NTSC selectable output, 3D DNR, IR-Cut and digital zoom functions. Minimum illumination reaches 0.01 Lux in colour and 0 Lux with IR active. Installers needing IP networking or resolutions above 720P should choose a different technology.

The camera runs on DC 12V power. Use a regulated 12 V supply rated for the camera's current draw and observe correct polarity when connecting the power leads.
Loosen the lens retaining screws, rotate the zoom and focus rings until the desired field of view is sharp, then retighten. OSD settings are changed via UTC commands sent from a compatible DVR or controller over the coaxial cable.
Inspect the IR window and LEDs every six months for dust, spider webs or moisture. Clean the glass gently with a soft cloth; the IR-cut filter is internal and maintenance-free unless image colour shifts appear.
