Bluecctv BL-DUMMY dummy dome camera

The Bluecctv BL-DUMMY is a non-functional security camera replica designed to deter intruders at minimal cost. Its black dome housing and blinking red LED closely mimic a live CCTV unit, making it virtually indistinguishable from genuine surveillance equipment. It suits homeowners and small businesses seeking a visual deterrent without the expense or complexity of a recording system. Buyers who need actual video evidence, remote viewing or motion-triggered alerts cannot use this product.

Installation and placement

The camera measures 80 x 115 mm and mounts on walls or ceilings using the supplied screws and wall plugs. No wiring is required, so it can be positioned anywhere within reach for battery changes. Indoor and outdoor mounting is supported, letting you cover entry points, gardens or retail aisles without routing cables or hiring an installer.

Power, thermals and noise

Two AA batteries (not included) power the LED indicator; the unit draws no mains electricity and generates no heat or fan noise. Battery life depends on the cells used and ambient temperature, but the absence of active electronics means silent, maintenance-free operation once the batteries are fitted.
