Covert circular camera with 3.6 mm fixed lens

The Bluecctv BL-HI6440M is a compact analog camera built into a circular housing for discreet indoor monitoring. It uses a 1/3” Sony Super HAD II CCD sensor delivering 480 TV lines of horizontal resolution at 510 by 492 effective pixels. The 3.6 mm fixed lens provides a wide field of view suited to general coverage in retail, office or residential spaces. The unit operates on 12 V DC power.

Low-light sensitivity and simple installation

Minimum illumination is rated at 0.1 lux, allowing usable colour footage in dimly lit corridors or after-hours areas without supplementary lighting. The fixed lens and single-voltage supply keep wiring straightforward for installers working with existing analog DVR infrastructure. No moving parts or motorised optics mean silent operation and minimal maintenance once mounted. Buyers needing varifocal adjustment or IP connectivity should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 3.6mm fixed-lens circular covert camera and what step is often missed?

Drill a hole that matches the camera body diameter, insert the unit, and secure it with the supplied bracket; the step most installers miss is connecting the 12V DC power before sealing the mount.

What maintenance will the 1/3” Sony Super HAD II CCD sensor need over time?

Clean the lens surface gently with a microfibre cloth when image clarity drops; the sealed CCD module itself requires no internal servicing.
