Analog CCTV camera with 480 TVL resolution, 84 infrared LEDs for 120 feet night vision, and a 2.8-12mm vari-focal lens in a weatherproof grey housing
The Bluecctv BL-IR9084VF-G-2812 is a weatherproof analog camera that delivers 480 TV lines of resolution through a 1/3" Sony Super HAD II CCD. It captures colour video in daylight and switches to infrared at 0 lux using 84 IR LEDs rated for 120 feet of night vision. The unit runs on 12V DC power and fits standard CCTV installations.
The 2.8 ~ 12mm vari-focal lens lets installers adjust the field of view on site instead of committing to a single fixed focal length. This flexibility is worth the step up when the exact monitoring distance or coverage width is not known until the camera is mounted. Effective pixels of 510 (H) x 492 (V) remain constant across the zoom range.
The grey weatherproof case is designed for exterior mounting and requires a 12V DC supply, so plan for a nearby power source or a suitable cable run. The vari-focal adjustment frees the installer from carrying multiple fixed-lens models to the job site. No network connectivity or onboard recording is included; the camera feeds a DVR or monitor directly.

The camera uses a grey weatherproof case designed for the 2.8 ~ 12mm vari-focal lens and 84 IR LEDs; mount it on a standard bracket that supports this housing size and the 12V DC power connection.
Power the camera on 12V DC, then manually rotate the vari-focal lens barrel to set the desired field of view between 2.8mm and 12mm; the step often missed is re-checking focus at night when the 84 IR LEDs activate at 0 lux.
The 84 IR LEDs provide up to 120 feet of night vision; LED output gradually declines over years of continuous 0 lux operation, while the CCD sensor typically lasts the camera's lifetime unless physically damaged.
