700 TVL vandalproof dome camera

The Bluecctv BL-VP9935AV-IR2812 is an analog CCTV dome built for outdoor or high-risk indoor sites. It delivers 700 TV lines of resolution from a 1/3 inch Sony Super HAD II CCD with 811 by 508 effective pixels. The housing is rated weatherproof and vandalproof for exposed mounting.

Analog limits and 12V DC power

As an analog device it connects over coaxial cable to a DVR rather than an IP network, so bandwidth and remote access depend on the recorder. The camera draws 12V DC and requires a compatible power supply. Low-light scenes are illuminated by 35 IR LEDs that operate down to 0 lux.

2.8 to 12mm vari-focal lens

The 2.8 to 12mm vari-focal lens lets the installer adjust the field of view on site without swapping optics. Wide-angle coverage at 2.8mm suits entrance monitoring while the 12mm setting narrows the view for detail at distance. This single adjustment decides whether the camera covers the required scene.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 2.8mm or 12mm end of the vari-focal lens?

The 2.8 ~ 12mm vari-focal lens is adjustable; set it wider for broad coverage or narrower for distant detail depending on the mounting position.

What does 700 TV lines deliver on a live monitor?

700 TV lines from the 1/3" Sony Super HAD II CCD (811 × 508 effective pixels) gives sharp analogue detail on a compatible DVR or monitor.

What does the 12V DC input mean for installation?

The camera runs on 12V DC, so you need a matching power supply or a 12V DC distribution box for each unit.
