Twist-on F connector fits RG-59 coaxial cable for tool-free surveillance installations

  • Twist-on design installs without special tools
  • One-piece construction simplifies RG-59 cable assembly
  • Fits RG-59 coaxial cable for surveillance runs
  • Male F-type connector ensures secure signal path
  • Tool-less termination speeds up camera wiring jobs

Connector Type and Cable Match

Bluecctv twist-on F connectors are designed for RG-59 coaxial cable in surveillance installations. The one-piece construction allows tool-less termination on site. Installers can replace damaged ends or build custom cable runs without specialised crimping equipment.

Sustained Installation Reliability

The twist-on mechanism grips the outer shield and braid mechanically, maintaining contact integrity through temperature cycles and vibration. Stripping dimensions are specified for the insulation, shielding and foam layers to ensure consistent impedance. No soldering or compression tools are required for a secure joint.

RG-59 Compatibility Decides Fit

These connectors accept only RG-59 cable dimensions; they will not seat correctly on RG-6 or other coaxial types. Buyers using thicker or thinner cable jackets must choose a different connector series. Verify the cable marking before purchase to avoid mismatched terminations.

Questions about this item

Does the Bluecctv F connector generate any heat or noise when used continuously in a surveillance system?

The connector is a passive coaxial component with no active electronics, so it produces no heat and makes no noise during continuous operation.

What cable preparation tools are needed before twisting on this F connector?

You need a coaxial stripper to remove 3/4 inch of inner insulation, 3/8 inch of shielding and 1/4 inch of foam dielectric, plus the ability to twist the braid clockwise before screwing the connector on.

Will this twist-on connector fit the existing RG-59 cables already installed in my older CCTV setup?

Yes, it is designed specifically for RG-59 coaxial cable and uses a standard F-type male interface compatible with legacy surveillance equipment.
